This wonderful vintage stocking holderfeatures the wonderful design of a gilt pineapple.

Excellent form and styling. I am pretty sure the base is cast iron or another cast heavy cast metal ( the holder weighs almost 2 1/2 pounds unpackaged). The actual pineapple has me puzzled. It is hard to touch, has no mold seams but the detail is amazing. Almost like they took one of the artificial pineapples that were available during the plastic fruit craze, dipped it in metal and hadit heavily gilded in an antique gold. However it was made, it is wonderful!

Greatpreownedcondition with some minor age appropriate wear. No chips, cracks, major rubs/scratches or repairs.

No marks as to maker or origin. I have searched the net over, both present and past listings and found nothing like them. Possiblyartisan made.
