Given the loss of over 70 years of artistic designs when Raphael Tuck and Sons\' London building was bombed and destroyed in WWII, I am pleased to be able to offer this beautiful Victorian Valentine Card.
Item: Rare, Victorian Raphael Tuck & Sons Valentine Card.
Condition: Pre-owned.Unused Valentine card. Some age wear. See photos of girl\'s hair, lower mid area of kimono and edge of purple flower heart.
Markings: Raphael & Sons Ltd Trademark. London, Paris, Berlin, New York, and Montreal. Printed in Saxony.
Size: 7 1/4\" in diameter when all panels are opened.
Description:

Embossed design on die cut card stock. Three panels held together with a metal pin.

Beautiful, smiling, hazel-eyed girl with creamy complexion/rosy cheeks, and raven hair with Victorian ringlets surrounding her face.

She is wearing a floor length purple and green colored kimono with a large bow in back and tassels hanging from her arms.
In her hands, she is holding a multi-colored fan surrounded by several different colored butterflies.
She is wearing Japanese-style footwear.

The message panels are designed as hearts with vibrant purple flowers following the outer edge of the hearts. Inside, several panels have butterflies - - some purple/pink, yellow, white, and green.

Valentine message imprinted on card:
