Very Good DescriptionUp for sale is a Russian 84 zolotniki silver (.875 fine silver) 12″ Ladle which weighs in at an impressive 253.7 grams (8.16 ozt). This piece is marked with the Kokoshnik mark which was used from 1896-1908. It also is marked the assay master mark of Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin who worked in Moscow from 1898-1914. It is stamped with the makers mark of Pyotr Abrosimov, who was active from 1869-1908. With the combination of information present in the hallmarks, it can be deduced that this piece dates from 1898-1908. This piece is in the classic fiddle pattern, and the bowl is beautifully goldwashed. This ladle is of high quality thick gauge construction and was made to last for generations. This piece is not monogrammed and shows no evidence of any repairs, removals, or alterations. This piece would make an excellent addition to any collection of high quality Russian silverwork, or would make a fantastic gift for the collector in your life!
