Offered is a beautiful antique silver plate Victorian pickle castor. It boasts an ornate handle and a spectacular Vaseline glass castor. The holder is signed Forbes Silver Co, quadruple with the numbers 260. The Forbes Silver Company was established in 1894 as a part of the Meriden Britannia Company. Many smaller companies organized into the Meridian Britannia Co and later on in 1898 formed the International Silver Company. The lid has a very nice floral design. The glass insert has up where the lid sits two small hairlines which do not go through to the other side. The lid fits fairly tight so I am unsure if it is original. Considering its age this set is in very good vintage condition. This piece displays beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to your collection. 11.25\" High.
