This listing is for a gorgeous pair of sterling silver Old Pawn sleeping beauty pierced earrings done by master Navajo artist Brandon Williams.They are hallmarked \"BW\" on one earring and \"Sterling\" on the other.
They are on the large size as stud earrings go, measuring approximately 1 1/16\" in length and between the 3/4\" andn 7/8\" mark wide at the widest point, and they look beautiful on.
The earrings are shaped somewhat like a pear, being a little bit narrower on the top of the earring than the bottom, thus giving the earring visual design interest.
The sleeping beauty turquoise is a clear, medium sky blue, with no matrix, measuring 7/8\" long and 5/8\" wide at the widest point in the \"pear\" shape. They weigh 11.3g.
There is a slashed pattern of sterling silver all the way around the border of the earrings just outside of where the turquoise sits up approximately 1/4\" from the base of the earring. The base of the bottom of the earrings is plain high-polish sterling, and the north and the south of the earrings have decorated slash patterns which really make these a dress earring or a casual earring, whichever way you want to go.
This pair of sterling silver sleeping beauty earrings is just a beautiful piece of Navajo workmanship and is a great representation of what our Native American culture produces in the Southwest.
