WALL ST NY STOCK EXCHANGE AT MIDNIGHT W/ GEORGE WASHINGTON - KAMIL KUBIK ART:
$480.00

This one just might be my favorite. Maybe. It IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of Kamil Kubik\'s most dramatic and impressive works of art......this MIDNIGHT ON WALL STREET shows the New York Stock Exchange and the large, impressive statue of George Washington that has a strong presence over the business and trading that is conducted there daily. Kamil had been invited by the CEO of the Stock Exchange to paint the Trading Floor during a day of routine business. According to Kamil it was almost overwhelming at first but once he got comfortable......he was able to take in all of the action and activity and the unbelievable architecture and when that first painting was finished, he didn\'t stop. Today, his body of work holds a grand display of numerous scenes of this world of Finance in New York City. This sale is for the exterior of this most dramatic building with the Statue of George Washington front and center. (to the right!! )The artist\'s command of the lighting during this late hour is breathtaking. It\'s amazing that he could make it look like there is a light shining on the front of the building through the use of his paints. Just gorgeous.

This print would be aperfect choice if you have an entry or a large wall that needs something very special.Kamil loved painting this area of the city and created more scenes of this area than any other part of the New York......or maybe tie with Central Park. But he did many. I have some of the others listed for sale if you would like to have a series of these subjects hanging in your home or office. They would certainly make a statement and impress anyone seeing them for the first time.

This is a large print, unframed and signed in pencil by the artist. Once it is framed, you can be sure it will be most impressive and make a very dramatic statement. Kamil painted a lot of Wall Street art but this one may be his finest.

OurPersonal History

I metKamil over 20 years ago when I commissioned him for a project that resultedina large number ofprints for the State of New Jersey: Cape May, The Barnegat Lighthouse, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, The World Cup Soccer games at Giants Stadium, the visit from the Pope during the 90\'s including mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark, the Battleship New Jersey and Christmas in Cape May! These arejust some of the beautiful prints that are availablefor purchase and thatI will continue sellinguntil they are gone.Kamil\'s International work and the New Jersey projectof paintings aretruly amazing but there are countless others that would take your breath away.

Kamillived an extremely healthy, active life but passed away in 2011because of complications from a serious stroke he had unfortunately suffered about 5 years before.

Hehad beenborn in Czechoslavakia but when theCommunists seized power in 1948, he escaped to the West. After living in Germany and Australia, he traveled to the United States, arriving in SanFrancisco where hestudied with the Academy of Fine Arts and worked at the Museum of Modern Art. In 1962, he came to New York City and studied at the Art Student\'s League. He spent four years in London and Germany where his English born wife was the Prima Ballerina, dancingwith the Essen Opera House. Kamil and Joanna returned to New York in 1967 but shared time living in New Yorkwith an apartment in Washington DC as well.Kamil had developed a close relationship with the President and First Lady,George and Barbara Bush and he trulyenjoyed the world of politics. Washington DC became theperfect place for the Kubiks to spend some of their time.

Kamil\'s worldwide reputation is based on hisCityscapes and gorgeous Florals in pastels and oil. He was named The Official Artist for several USOpen Golf Tournaments and several US Open Tennis Tournaments as well. His catalogue is extensive and his works are featured in private and public collections as well as the White House. He was honored with the prestigious annual award \"NEW YORKER OF THE YEAR\" by the Bowling Green Association, a well respected Wall Street Organization. Mr. Kubnik designed both the 1991 and again the 1992 official White House Christmas Card for President and Mrs. Bush. The artist painted the Official Bicentennial of the New York Stock Exchange and in the mid 90\'s painted a great many holiday cards with a Wall Street / Financial theme. His 1972 Reader\'s Digest Cover featured the skating rink in front of the former Plaza Hotel in New York and was seen by millions. His work has been chronicled by a vast range of publications, from Business Week, which in 1976 named him an \"Outstanding Young Artist Recommended by Collectors, Curators and Dealers\"..........to the New York Times which has reviewed his work on several occasions. His stamp of the 1994 WORLD CUP SOCCER TOURNAMENT is recognizable to soccer fans and he was commissioned to do paintings for the Ritz Carlton Hotel Organization, the Breakers Hotel and the Greenbrier Country Club. Enough, I suppose, although I could go on...and on. There are several of this particular view of Wall Street still available for purchase.......but since Kamil is no longer here.........once these prints are gone, there will be no more.

I am not sure of the year Kamil painted this original but my guess would be during the mid - late 90\'s. Theprint is inamazing condition ....like new with noflaws, rips, tears, holes etc. It is perfect and has been signed in pencil by the artist. It is unframed and will be sent to yougently rolled in a long rectangular box, carefully packed in tissue and well protected.

This is a perfect print for anyone who has a connection to New York City\'s world of finance........investment companies located in that district of the City and the New York Stock Exchange. It would make a remarkable gift for the right person andis a perfect piece of art for that large blank wall in your home oroffice. It would honestly lookimpressive anywhere. Email any questions. I\'m always happy todiscuss Kamil and/or his art. Happy offerding.
