How measurements are taken:
Chest: pit to pit, laying flat
Length: on the back of the shirt, thebottom of the collar to the hem, laying flat
Sleeve Length: top of the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff, laying flat
Shoulder Width: top of the shoulder seam to the top of the opposite shoulder seam, laying flat

How measurements are taken on pants:

Waist: With the pants buttoned and lying flat, and the waistband pulled taut and parallel , measure from one edge of the waistband to the other

Front Rise: With the pants buttoned and lying flat, and the waistband pulled taut, measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waist band.

Inseam / Length: from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg, with the pants laying flat

Leg Opening: With the pants lying flat, measure straight across the bottom of the leg.
