WELLER POTTERY \"FRU RUSSET\" Matte Green Art\'s & Crafts Geometric Handles Vase

This piece came from an older private estate many years ago. It is in a textured matte green glaze with a fine oil spotting type texture. The handles extend up and are geometric, rectangular. This is a beautiful arts and crafts pot. Signed: The number \"78\" is written in pencil on the bottom and it is also impressed with the small \"Weller\" block letter mark. Size: approx 7 1/4 inches across the top including the handles. The opening is approx 4\" wide. The vase is approx 5 5/8\" inches tall, including the handles.

Condition: The outside of the vase, including the handles,are pristine. The inside bottom has a rust ring about a half inch above the bottom. There is also some whitish grime or some kind of deposit on the bottom only. Some lighter deposits on the inside sides as well, but not like the bottom (see photos) I have no idea what it is. It could be from water, minerals, or it could be old flower arranging putty or clay that has dried. I\'m just not sure. Possibly it could be soaked and cleaned away if you found it necessary. Again, I don’t know. It does not affect the beauty of the vase at all. The vase itself is uncrazed, with no hairlines, cracks, pops or chips. The outside underside shows some darkening, possibly from rust and there is some crazing.
