Up forsaleis a wonderful white bronze ornament called the Williamsburg Cypher Ornament from the TreeOrnament Collection, style number CW25-19WB/4369,for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation by Virginia Metalcrafters.CW describes this piece as:

“This ColonialWilliamsburg cypher design is an intricate elaboration, accented with leafage,of the script form which was popular with 18th-Century designers.Its form is one that was used by gentry on their important possessions, or bynobility in conjunction with their coat of arms.”

The ornamentmeasures 2 ¾ inches in diameter. Itis in excellent vintage conditionwith little wear. On the back is the VMlogo, the copyright year of the design, 1950and the year of introducing the ornament, 1991,which at that time was produced only in brass. It comes in its original box andred ribbon. I have a total of3 of these,2 Colonial WilliamsburgWilliam & Maryornaments and 2 Historic Charlestonornaments.
