WHITE BUFFALO is actually opalized calcite and quartz with black chert. It is a beautiful white stone with black matrix, sometimes blotched or spider webbed, that is mined out of Nevada, north of Tonapah. This stone takes a great polish, cuts like turquoise, and is sometimes marketed as WHITE BUFFALO TURQUOISE.
This set consists of a pendant on an 18\" sterling silver chain and a matching pair of earrings on fishhook earwires. The 10 mm x 14 mm stones have been carefully matched for shape and size and are framed in a gracefully curved setting with the delicate cut work detailing characteristic of this artisan. The pendant measures 5/8\" wide x 1 5/8\" long including the bail. The earrings are 5/8\" wide x 1 1/4\" long overall. Hand crafted in .925 sterling silver and signed \"Arkie Nelson\" by the artisan. Navajo.
