Tonight I\'m happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate - Whiting - Antique, Early 1870\'s, Sterling Silver - \'Aesthetic Movement\' - 4\" Floral Etched Silver Card Case.
74.4 Grams - EXCELLENT CONDITION! - !
This handsome and impressive case dates from the early 1870\'s, of American make and origin, made by \'Whiting\' fashioned as a 4\" by 2.5\" silver card case detailed front and back with an intricate floral etch and suspended from a 7\" silver link chain. The case is solid and heavy with a silver weight of 74.4 grams.
The case is in excellent condition showing little wear other than normal use with no repairs or restorations, no wear or rubbing to the design or details, only in need of a good polishing.The case is monogrammed on the front with the initials \'CRF\' which can be buffed off if desired but is actually part of the design and is so intricate that it could be any initials you\'d like.
The case is marked on the inside rim with the familiar Whiting lion mark, Sterling and the number -21.D-.
