Up for sale is a fantastic and very rare souvenir plate from the famous Winecoff Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The hotel was built in 1913 and is the site of one of the most famous & deadly fires in US history. This beautiful plate was made by the Syracuse China Company. It measures 10\" across. The plate\'s decals are marvelous! The rim is circled with a unique cotton plant design. The spectacular center decal shows beautiful, colorful images of Atlanta\'s old-timey landmarks in between the spokes of a wheel. The green spoke portions of the wheel contain names of the railroads that were going into Atlanta at the time. The center hub says Atlanta, GA. A truly fabulous & historical plate! The back stamps on the back of the plate date to around or about 1915, making this plate approx 100 years old. The back of the plate also has the three firing marks typical of most all older dishes. The plate is actually in pretty good condition for it\'s old age. It has no chips, no cracks or crazing, but does have some minor scratches and scuffs. The worst are several small scuff/scrapes in the white area to the right of the name \'Winecoff\'. I couldn\'t get this to show up in the photo, but you can see this when you look for it while tilting the plate. There\'s also a small area of wear to the green pinstripe circling the inside of the rim. This is located directly above the word \'hotel\'. I have a picture showing this so please take a look. None of this detracts from the beauty of this fine old plate. I took many photos so please take a careful look. I don\'t have a fancy photo equipment so pardon any glare.
