Published byMethuen & Co. in 1926, this is a nice copy of the most desirable printing of this classic book, the British first issue preceding E. P. Dutton\'s American edition.
With the charming E. H. Shepard illustrations and original dark green gilt decorated cloth showing Christopher Robin and Pooh playing with a pop gun in a gilt border. Top edge gilt, and endpapers showing the "100 Aker Wood".
Slight scratching to front board, small parts of front endpaper map coloured in in pink - rear endpapers untouched, neat gift inscription dated October 1926 on half-title page, slight rippling to lower edges of page and light marking to a couple of pages.
