A fine and original WMF pewter vase embellished with sinueous raised poppy flowers and with original silver plating . This beautiful vase stands 29.5cmm high and retains most of the original plating. It is stamped to the base with the WMF stamp and ostrich along with the letter B O/X , denoting that it was originally oxidised in order to best display the decoration. There is one minor stress mark to the base ( see images ) which can be felt as a slight ridge , but is not an open crack and does not go through to the other side.
