You are offerding on a WONDERFUL 19c figured and burrwalnut inland antique restored and repolished jewellery box. Dates approximately 1860/1890.

In WONDERFUL restored condition.

FULLY LOCKS

Couple of small old nibble veneer repairs to the right side edgeOld shrinkage repair, and old bruising,otherwise a really terrific Victorian box in good restored order.

Couple of old nibble repairs on the left front banding otherwise all complete and in good order.

This really is in terrific condition. Figured veneer to the sides and back with burr walnut to the top and front.

Superb inlayed boxwood,ebony and tulipwoodbanding to the top and front. Further inlayed with boxwood, ebony,and mother of pearl to the central cartouche and keyhole escutcheon.

Its just superb!!!!

Box retains the original lock, top catch and hinges. Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box with relative ease.Instruction given once sold.

Comprising a wonderful interior that boasts a later wooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments. This has been relined in expensive velvet material of the highest quality, the same as the interior of the box.

All the added dividers within the tray can easily be repositioned or removed if desired. The tray can hold many rings in an upright position.

Underneath the additional tray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces.

A superb box, and would make a fantastic gift.
