This sale is for a total of 4 (four) wonderful antique 19th century handmade ball buttons of the Victorian era. These are a rare find and ones that I have never seen before….they consist of tiny dark brown woven balls with the finest gold metal threads in its weave. These actually stick to a magnet. They have a metal shank which is quite tarnished as one can see from photos. I am not certain of the base, since it does not appear to be wooden, and I believe it is steel or it would not stick to a magnet. The fine gold metal threads are barely noticeable, but if one studies them closely, you can see a glint of them. These are very dark brown in color and these appear to be a very thin twisted cord, but it is really difficult to see due to their fine weave. Please note that these are very tightly woven and are not ascoarse as they are depicted in photos. These are being sold \"AS IS\". They are very desirable and perfect for timeworn garments in which one is looking for authenticity of the era. These each measure approximately 3/8\" in diameter…None are the same…...
