item worked good, I tested it with ordinary AA non-brand name batteries. No issues. Not all A_F channels seemed to pick up sound. Heard voices and volume was loud. No damage to unit. Buttons all move normal. Leather case has some minor interior fraying near the button openings. Also looks like a old style printer labeler note on it in red for channel reminders of some type. Radio Shack Brand bought by my older brother I believe in the late 1960\'s.
