Up for sale is a Victorian eraboot-shaped Match Safe/Vesta.I believe that it is either an early nickel-plated piece or pewter.It measures approximately 2 3/4\" tall.The lid is madeof a thin piece of brassand readily pops up when the second button on the boot is pressed.The lid is marked pat apl. for.The striker on the bottom is in good shape and not very worn.It is overall in good condition.There is a scratch near the bottom on the side with the buttons.
