Royal Artillery A.A. gunners on merchant ships. They manned Bofers guns which were mounted on all types of vessels. This is an embroidered badge with red anchor wrapped in a fouled gold color rope and gold color RA either side. This badge has been removed from a uniform as some of the stitching thread still remains. The reverse side has what remains of a paper backing.
