Authentic WW11 M1 Helmet and Seaman LinerStress crack free, rectangular shaped flexible bales, front seam, A washers are darkened brass.The webbing, leather sweatband and neck band are intact , color is olive. There are 2 dents as seen in the photo, liner is intact.Not certain of the age of this helmet. It belonged to my father in law who served in the Pacific theatre. ( his name is written on the straps)The liner is embossed with an S in the crown I believe indicating it was manufactured by the Seaman Paper Co. somewhere between Sept 1942 and August 1945.I did not try to clean the helmet other than a light dusting.Please feel free to email me with any additional questions.
