An nice item of WW1 interest being a solid copper patriotic dish.
This by J.S.& S and with an embossed Union Flag .Marked to Pte W.S.Vinney RAMC who was lost on board the Troopship \"Transylvania\" which was sunk on route to Egypt by torpedo\'s from the U-63 off Cape Vado, Savona. The ship was bringing reinforcements, of which 398 military personnel were lost,The heavy copper dish would polish nicely if required. J.S & S were established in the early 1900\'s as makers of quality copper and metal wares. They made many patriotic items during the Great War.
