One W. Clauberg Solingen trench art knife circa 1857-1926 in good used condition. The blade has patina only with no visible pitting. At 3/8 inch + it is very thick and the large blood groove goes all the way out the point. Looks to me like a bayonet or sword that has been cut down and customized with a table leg. The butt has a steel cap machine pressed on some how and it looks to have been done some time ago. The handle looks to have been used for a hammer {on one side} at some time. The guard slot where the blade slides through looks a little large to me. Either way it is a cool piece worthy of any collection. Please see all pics & check out my other WW1 MILITARY KNIVES I have listed. Thanks!
