Good Evening:For your consideration is a very nice 37MM shell that was used by the US Navy on their deck guns in WW1. The shell is tall at 5 3/8\" tall. It bears the image of a little girl on the face. The shell has been stipled around it\'s body. The projectile has a nice set of anchors on the driving band separated by the initials BS. The head stamp indicates a February 1916 manufacture date. The piece has a coat of lacquer applied to protect it. The primer has been removed and cannot be made to fire. Overall, a nice piece of trench art that is hard to find in the taller size and has some nice details.Please let me know any questions you have on this item.Thanks for looking.
