The letter has a pictue of the U.S.S. Overton. In the letter he mentions seeing very closeFranklin D. Roosevelt.The cover has the send to address ofBaltimore, Maryland. Dearest Family

I sure have a lot to say. I wrote my last letter while in Mare Island but I forgot one thing. I did see President Roosevelt close, very close in fact. I helped cast off the lines of the Houston. It sure was a big day in San Diego.............As you probably know no more Fillipinoes are allowed to join the Navy and all of them having less than eight years in must get out.
