Very good condition original WWI Austrian Mannlicher SteyrModel 1895 bayonet that is the rare cavalry NCO model with sight blade on themuzzle ring, hooked quillon, and lanyard loop in the pommel. Has the Steyr OEWGmarking on the right side blade ricasso and Austrian eagle proofs on both sidesof the ricasso. Bayonet is unit marked “JR13/99” on the pommel for issue to the13th Infantry or Kaiserjaeger Regiment. Blade has bright finish andhas been sharpened. Remaining metal finish is mostly brown. Wood grips haveoriginal finish and a good tight fit with some normal wear. Right side has acouple of tight cracks. Lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original steelscabbard that has blue metal finish and a few dings. A scarce Steyr 95 cavalryNCO bayonet that will make a fine addition to your collection.
