WWI German M16 steel Helmetwith replaced agedliner by Great War Militaria made by G Birringer who passed away last fall. He made the best repro liners for German helmets.Liner is a little stiff and probably 20 years old. Original Green Feld Grau on interior and darker brown green on exterior. The exterior of this shell paint wise looks like it is either missing most of its paint so it is a green tinted paint or it is just the way it has aged. Sometimes I look at it and think it has no paint but appearsgreen, sometimes it ust loos like a lightly applied green, not sure. Size 64 and stamped BF 64on inside rim. Pins appear to be replaced as they are different color from shell and it is missing rear pin.No pads in the liner sections.A Great shell with no rust issues! A nice starter helmet or reenactor helmet.
