Up for sale isa WWIIJapanese Navy Fighter Pilot Flotation \"Meatball\"Flag. This Flag is made of 100% Pure Silk, with one edge filled with kapok. The kapok would swell up, when wet and cause the Flag to float. This was used to help located fighter pilots who went down over open water.. It is approximately30\" long x 30\" wide. There are no markings or writing on the Flag.A rust spot and a small pin hole. This Flag is inNice Condition, no ripswith just some discoloration evidencing it\'s age of 70+ Years.
