Original WWII Royal British Navy Telescope. Maker marked “HOWES LONDON” and dated1941. Comes with original leatherprotective telescope cover, lens caps, and carrying strap. Just out of an estate within the last severalmonths, has never been in a collection. Telescopeis 4-Draw type and mechanically 100% functioning. Extends smoothly and the scope fittings arestill tight as they should be. Opticsare clear and crisp, no lens chips or cracks.Telescope has company imprint engraved on it, which says \"Howes.79. Leader Hall S7. London From: Dollands 1941\". Also engraved into the tube is a Ship’s Wheel& Anchor logo. All markings areexcellent with no fading from wear or buffing.Leather is also excellent with no rips or tears, still supple andflexible. Leather stitching is stilltight.
