Up for sale is a complete original WWII US Army Gas Mask that is identified to the soldier who it was issued. This gas mask is in its kidney carrier bag and all its straps and snaps are present and working. The mask was manufactured by Acushnet inJuly of 1942. The mask, its lenses, hose and straps are in good condition. The left lens metal has paint worn off on the top. The canister is a US M1XA1 and is in good condition. it has a small dent on the left side of it. Inside is the Anti-Dim cloth still inside its can. The carrier is identified to Clifford L Dirksen (ASN 39690895). A fast search indicates Dirken was born in North Dakota in 1916 and enlisted December 22 1942. I have other priorities so I am selling various items of my collection. This would make a wonderful addition to any WWII collection worthy of further research. Please do not HESITATE to make an OFFER!
