Original World War II US Paratrooper Vet Bring-Back M1C AirborneHelmet with Original Liner and Issued Canteen. Right out ofthe woodwork from an estate within the last 4 months... Has never been in acollection. This interesting and Scarceexample has the production features seen in helmets manufactured from 1944-1945. Named to PFC Ray E. Bryant. PFC Bryant painted his name and serial numberclearly in white enamel on both the steel shell and liner of the helmet. PFC Bryant\'s original issued canteen still has the aluminum cup with it and is dated 1944 on the canvas carrier.

Light Olive Drab / Green canvas chinstraps with blackened brass“hook and arrow” hardware, as well as Khaki canvas liner suspension webbingwith blackened brass “A” fasteners. Thecanvas chinstraps are “bar tacked” / sewn directly to swivel chinstrap bales. Rim of helmet has metal seam in back. This is likely a McCord Radiator manufacturedsteel shell, marked with heat lot number 44A.Original WWII Olive Drab Cork Textured paint finish has been overpaintedwith a heavier coat of Olive Drab. Niceeven combat wear throughout with almost 100% of the original finishremaining... Really above average.

Original matching WWII M1C Airborne helmet liner. Can’t see any manufacture marks on it. The liner has also been overpainted in aheavy Olive Drab paint finish, original and at 100% with no paint loss. No cracks in the fiberglass liner. This Paratrooper helmet shows obvious extensive combat wear with several separations in the canvas liner suspension and a partial tear in one of the chinstraps (see pics)...butit’s real and unmessed with. as usual, so goodluck.
