These World War Two kits were issued to pilots and paratroopers to barter their way out of difficult situations if they were downed in unfriendly territory.

These are Atlantic kits that contained approximately .90 troy ounce of gold. They contain a 20 Franc, 10 Franc, Sovereign, 2 Half Sovereigns, and 3 Gold Band 9k Rings.

These sets were sold by the DOD in the 1980\'s and Sealed ones are naturally quite rare.

This set is still sealed, the picture of the set opened is just so people can see what they look like inside.

I had thought about opening it but was advised not to, i did run a stanley knife over some of the seal as you can see but it is not an easy task to open so i decided to leave it alone.

These sets are not resealable.
