WWII WillysMB Ford GP GPW Jeep WC CCKW 8” Crescent Adjustable Wrench Tool

The wrench wasrecently obtained from a sale, shows to be lightly used, exact age is unknown.

Ibelieve this is a correct 8” crescent adjustable tool kit wrench for the 1943and earlier WWII Military Jeeps, and other military vehicles as the WC, CCKW,and DUKW, but not 100% for sure.

The wrench wasdropped from the Jeep tool kits some time in 1943.

I believe this to bethe same wrench as reference #’s for the military vehicles as the Federal#41-W-486, and for the Jeeps as the Willys # A-376, and Ford # GP-17023.

This wrench is the thick jaw, in the dark industrialfinish and is embossed on the main beam on one side 8IN DROPFORGED STEEL MADE IN X USA.The other side has MADE BY – CRESCENTTOOL CO. JAMESTOWN, N.Y.

The jaws are thick, 9/16”at base and open to 1”, and the wrench is 8\" long.

Thewrench is in good condition and works freely, As with the vintageof the wrench, there is some normal use wear, a few dents, dings, rubs, andsome discoloration, …..all as noted from the photos.

The Wrench wouldgreatly enhance any collection.
