Four unframed original Disney animation drawings, featuring Mickey Mouse. We bought them almost forty years ago. From our research, we believe them to date from the late 1930s, possibly the early 1940s.Each sheet measures approximately 12\" by 10\", and is standard 5-peghole animation paper (3 round, 2 rectangular). If you hold the paper up to the light, you can see the \"Hammermill Management Bond\" watermark in the paper (used by Disney Studios for all productions in the late 1930s and early 1940s).Their condition is exactly as depicted in the 300ppi scans and group photo.
Foxing spot on sheet 1 and 2 as shown. We believe that the spots can be removed by a professional conservator, since they are both not touching any pencil lines.We have tried to identify the animator\'s signature initials on the first series, and our best guess is an N and and F- which matches with Norm Ferguson.Norm Ferguson, directing animator on such films from \"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs\" to \"Peter Pan\". He was responsible for the witch in \"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs\" and Honest John and Gideon in \"Pinocchio\", and was known for his animation of Pluto.We guarantee these Disney animation drawings to be Original and Genuine, and the photographs of them in this posting to be unretouched.
