Description

You are offerding on an extremely rare victorian tile designed by Walter Crane. This tile was made at the Benthall works by Maw & Co. and is part of the Seasons series, produced c. 1878. The technique on this tile is a mixed media of transfer printing and hand painting, bearing the artist\'s monogram signature on the bottom right.

We guarantee this specimen to be the real thing, not a reproduction you cantry tofind elsewhere.

Condition

Shows some wear, some flaking to the corners, and a superficial hairline measuring about 75mm (please see pictures). There are no missing or broken parts and colours remain vivid. Overall in very good condition.
