The Waltham Vanguard 23J Railroad grade Pocket Watch in excellent usedcondition all-round, showing only light surface marks from general use, itcomes in a 10 year gold filled Fortune rail road case with screw on front and rear covers, closing backdown nice and tight, the watch is a size 18 or 55mm from side to side, wound bythe crown and set by the crown with the setting lever at the 2 position pulledout, the lens is nice and clear, a few light marks, the double sunk rail roaddial has nice bold dark Arabic numeral display with the 5 minute marks outerchapter, and black steel pointers, 1 hairline near the 7 position, signed withthe makers name, the RR Vanguard 23j movement is of high standard, with goldtrain and escapement, adjusted , and a micro regulator for fine tuning of theescapement, the nickel plates are highly decorated and the lettering goldfilled ,dates to 1904, running perfectly well and strong, and keeping perfecttime, comparable with the ridiculously priced wrist watches of this day, andover 100 years old, don’t listen to anyone who tells you different, thesewatches are deadly accurate, pleaseassess the pictures to evaluate thecosmetic condition of the watch, and if required please ask questions, I willanswer ASAP, Thanks
