The original was painted in 1920 andwas one of his many illustrations for The Book Of Fairy Poetry by Dora Owen. This particular illustration is for the peom The Vearies, and shows their underground daytime hiding place, with a beautiful fairy surrounded by other denizens of the underground.

About The Prints

This image hasbeen professionally restored, digitally enhanced for optimum quality and is printed using high qualityinks on heavy-weight archival paper with a smooth matte finish.
All images are printed centered on the paper with a white border, and preserve the proper height to width aspect ratio of the original image. Doing it this way can make borders that are not the same width on all four sides, e.g. borders that are wider on the sides compared to the top and bottom borders. Please check the image sizes to get an idea of what to expect on your print.
Borderless prints are available at no extra charge upon request but please be aware that the resulting image may appear somewhat different from the listed image. I\'ll do my best to preserve all the best parts of the image and will email you a sample for your approval before purchase.
