ATTENTION COLLECTORS!

Extremely rare Hamilton pocket watch! This was number 398 out of total production of 600. There are only two 18s Hamilton model number series that are more rare. The 11 jewel model of which around 300 were produced and the Hamilton 947 of which only 1 official example is recorded but a small number of Hamilton 943\'s were taken to produce the 947. Around 308 Hamilton 947\'s were thought to be produced. All other Hamilton models were produced in greater number than the Hamilton 932.

This Hamilton 932 appears to be in great shape and keeping railroad time in the face down position (I did not check other positions) as shown in the timing photo. It also appears to be all original with it\'s double sunk railroad track dial, no additional mounting marks in this worn 130 year old case. (Double sunk Railroad Track 18s Dials in good shape are getting very hard to find).

I am fortunate enough to own 2 of these and only 12 serial numbers apart. I have decide to let this one go so that another Hamilton collector can enjoy this rare Hamilton.

MOVEMENT

Stem wind andlever set.

I have put a new white alloy mainspring in the movement and a new crystal in the case.

Full-plate, nickel damaskeening, screw-down jewel settings, single roller,Breguet hairspring, Hamilton’s Goldthwait patent regulator,going barrel, blued plate screws.

Black lettering: “Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster, Pa.” and “Adjusted.”
Plates and damaskeening in excellent condition with just a few light scratches. I do not know the service history of this watch as I have not had it serviced but it is very clean and running very well.

DIAL
Double-sunk dial, Roman chapters with red five-minute track.
Very good condition with one tiny fleabite at number 6 visible; One tight hairline at the number 4/5 position that I can not see without magnification.
Dial Signed \"Hamilton Watch Co\" in script as it should be as this is the correct dial for Hamilton up until 1906.

HANDS

The hands are thin spade hands and are in descent condition.

CASE

Case is worn but is still in very good mechanical condition. Lids close as they should. I have replaced the old yellow plastic crystal with a new glass crystal so the crystal is perfect. The crown is worn and I do not have another one to replace it with. Nice 20 year 14k gold filled JBOSS case. Case show less brass than one would expect for a 130 year old case. Has a little brass showing on the stem, bow as a lot of brass and five or six small spots of brass showing on the rear cover. I did not notice any other brass showing. I thought about putting this movement into another case but this case was in such good shape considering its age I decided not to separate the movement and case. I do have a Hamilton 18s Salesman\'s Display Case in excellent condition. If interested please let me know. It will be $125.
