I have elected to sell in this form, as opposed to rolled and unbacked, because of the extremely high cost of properly stretching and mounting canvas oil paintings. A national chain of art stores recently quoted a price of over $100.00 to stretch a 36 by 24 inch canvas oil painting. The bottom line is that you are much better off paying perhaps $10.00 more for shipping your oil in ready to frame form than $100.00 to $150.00 to have it stretched and mounted later.
