Rare Historic JFK Letter Ordering troops for Martin Luther King speech! This is perhaps the most important historically significant letter signed during the administration of President John F. Kennedy. In fact, it probably belongs in the JFK Presidential Library museum in Boston!

In late August, black leaders were staging the first Civil Rights march in the nation’s capital. Officials at the U.S. Capitol were expecting the worst. The sergeant of arms of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives wrote Kennedy asking for federal troops to protect the mall and Capitol.

This is the same letter that is featured on the History Channel’s  “Pawn Stars.” It aired for the first time on Aug. 14 as “Break Room Battle.” I turned down Rick Harrison’s on-camera offer. Now is your chance.

Rick told me on TV: “This is pretty amazing.”

“This is historically important because you have a little teeny window into the psyche of JFK before he died, which makes it interesting. This is the day before the largest civil rights march in the history of the United States. It was 1963. You had a bunch of conservative white collar guys who thought there was going to be a revolution in this country and basically what he is saying in this letter is ‘I don’t think there is going to be a problem.”

“The march on Washington changed the course of American history. It was where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his legendary ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. To have something with ties to the speech and JFK’s signature – it almost seems too good to be true.”

Harrison then says it could be the ‘holy grail’ of presidential letters that he has ever seen and brings in Steve Grad of PSA/DNA to check it out on TV. Grad pronounces it rare and authentic. He suggests it is worth $10,000. “It’s real and it’s awesome. It’s probably one of the best Kennedy pieces I’ve ever seen. The autograph is beautiful. We’re talking almost a perfect ‘10’ and that means a lot to collectors.”

Harrison offered only $6,500 and I walked.

Here’s your chance to own an awesome and rare piece of American history.
