■ ■■TheWolkenstein & Glückseligwas a silverware manufacturer at the turn of the century in Vienna, Austria. The leader designers of the company wasEmanuel Josef MargoldandHans Ofner. And I know they had an outlet in Budapest too, because it\'s in the \'Companies of Budapest address book, 1916\':-)
HANS OFNER(1880-1939) architect and designer. Studied at the Vienna Kunstgewerbeschule underJosef Hoffmann.

Little is written on Ofner, his designs for small metal and glass tableware executed by Bakalowits & Sons and Argentor Werke as well asWolkenstein & Glückselig Wien appear in The Studio and other journals in 1906 and were very similar to the works of the Wiener Werkstaette

Height7cm (~2.75\")dia [with ears]36cm (~14.2\")!Marked \'W&G\'An exiting, and very surprisingly modern form beginning of century, with four, typical Josef Hoffmann/H. Ofner legs,
and geometric, secessionist/wiener werkstatte-type patterns
of Koloman Moser.It\'s from a kind of white metal, maybe chines silver, \'alpacca\', but I\'m not 100% sure.
Little chips on the rim of the glass liner, otherwise in perfect condition.
On the last picture you can see one an item of K.M. with the same pattern,
which was hammered at Christie\'s in 2002.
