This clock is so unique, The original dial and stars are in perfect condition. This clock has truly been in a box in a cabinet inside of a clock shop for 55 years. You can vaguely see the date 1-15-37 scribed on the metal. I have no idea the reason, my guess is a repair. This is a original period piece from the heart of the Art Deco era. The clock case is made of a high quality genuine \" Burl Walnut \" a very high end and expensive wood I am sure you are familiar with. This clock is in working condition. I believe the cord to be a safety hazard because you can see the taped repair near the plug. In addition the cord is original as well as the plug. I cautiously plugged it in and the second hand glides, it does not tick. I think it is so cool, the awesome Arrow shaped second hand just glides perfectly. As you can tell I LOVE this clock.
