This highlycollectiblework of art has been in anon-smoker\'sprivate collection in a climate controlled room since first purchased and was only removed from it\'s presentation case the second time for photographing. It istrulystunning! The knife comes with a special wooded case, a DVD, the original paper work (registration of ownership has not been filled out), a braided lanyardwith sterling ends and bail and the leather carrying case.
Production date is October 29th, 2009 and has a serial number of 912-0870 07/25 (the lucky 7th of 25!)
The blade is stainless \"Typhoon\" Damascus by well known blade artist Devin Thomas. It was created by multiple alloys of stainless steel folded over again and again. This beautifulmaterial is heat treated to Rockwell 58-59 for excellent sharpness and edgeretention. As with any high performance blade it should be cleaned and dried after use.
The frame is \"Twist Mokume\" - translating to \"wood grain metal\" from the Japanese where the technique was invented. This Mokume is hand-forged from 89separatelayers of copper, nickel silver and brass. William Henry then applies a special patina to bring out the range of colors and pattern and which will respond with use, becoming lighter or darker and changing with age.
The \"Desert Ironwood\" inlay ranks among the rarest and most spectacular in the world - hand selected for premium figure, color and durability. Where applicable, the wood isstabilizedwith acrylic resin to provide additional protection. Wood is a natural materian and can shift, expand or contract over time.
This piece features premiumsapphire gemstones, precision cut and set in 18K gold bezels. The gems are mechanically captured in our stainless fittings and will last a lifetime and more. No special care is required.
The fittings/fasteners on this knife are custom fabricated from stainless and titanium. The lanyard bail and beads are sterling silver paired with a braided leather cord. The \"Clip Case\"carryingsystemis crafted from ostrich leather with a tempered steel clip.
