Wilton Armetale plate That reads \"The Wedding Day\" with the husband and wife smiling at each other. When you turn the plate over it says \"And Three Weeks After\" and the smiles turn to frowns. The plate is marked on the back 1972 (MCMLXXII) and Columbia PA along with standard Wilton markings. There are light oxidation spots, scuffs andscratches. There might be some fading of the black background here and there. It is in good vintage condition for 40 years old. Armetale is an aluminum based alloy that was designed to look like pewter or polished silver but with superior properties. It is oven, freezer and food safe. It keeps cold items colder longer and hot items hotter longer. It will not crack, chip or break under normal use. It also just looks cool.
