Overall excellent condition. No damage. About 9\" tall. Composition/resin head, hands and feet and cloth body. Very nicely dressed in original costume.This 10 inch handmade doll was exquisitely handmade by Kimcraft Dolls, formerly Kimport Dolls. The Kimcraft Dolls are noted for their Presidential Dolls, produced from the 1940s to the 1960s. Ruby Short McKim (1891-1976) founded the Kimport Doll Co. in the early 1930\'s, focusing on imported dolls from around the world. Ruby McKim was a master crafts woman, artist and author, graduating from Parsons School of Design in NYC. During World War II, the import business dried up, and the company focused on American handmade dolls through the Kimcraft division of the company instead of imported dolls.
