You are offerding on aWorld War II Sterling Silver Trench Art type Ring marked “Iraq 1943.” This sterling silver ring is not marked as tosilver content. The ring appears to be asize 11 and is marked on one side with the name “IRAQ” and “1943” on the other side. The top has what looks like the likeness of aMosque on it. Many of these War-timerings were made from a silver coin by local artisans for sale to the Alliedtroops, which accounts for the lack of silver markings. This vintage ringappears to be hand made and hand engraved, as can be seen by the letteringstarting large and getting small for the last character which also appears tobe the same with the date. Overall thisring is in good condition.
