The Wright were two American aviators, engineers, inventors, and aviation pioneers who are generally credited with inventing, building, and flying the world's first successful airplane. They made the first controlled, sustained flight of a powered, heavier-than-air aircraft on December 17, 1903, four miles south of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

Description: This is a very rare and nice item. Typed Letter Signed, one page, 6.5 x 5 inches, Personal Letterhead, April 15, 1925. Letter to Mr. B. Russell Shaw of the National Aeronautic Association. In full: "The regulations for the Aviation Town and Country Club of Detroit Trophy seem satisfactory to me." Beautifully matted and framed against a 22.5 x 18 reproduction Photo of the first flight, along with a Small Swatch of Fabric from the original Wright Flyer, flown on December 17, 1903 at Kitty Hawk, to an overall size of 26 x 22 inches. On October 9, 1925, Charles S. (Casey) Jones won the Aviation Town and Country Club of Detroit Trophy and a $2,500 prize at Mitchel Field, Long Island. The race, a light commercial speed and efficiency race of 100 miles, was conducted by the New York Chapter of the National Aeronautic Association of the United States.

Further It means that this signature of Orville Wright and Plane Cloth Swatch which they personally examined and is in their opinion authentic. Further they state that the signature(s) are consistent considering slant, flow, pen pressure, letter size and other characteristics that are typical of the other exemplars that they compared against. Pre-Certified PSA /DNA is to let buyers know beforehand that upon item being sent in for official final marking and certification that it is guaranteed to be authentic, in their opinion. Second, the item will come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the famous RR sale where item was purchased by us originally. Third you will also get a Certificate from Reel Art. You will also get a copy of the invoice from RR sale a to further prove authenticity. Fourth you will also get a Letter of Authenticity from the world renown University Archives.

The item described is guaranteed to be of the time period and condition as described, has been exported legally and is legal to buy and sell under all international laws relating to cultural patrimony.

We accept payment via PayPal through , which is the quickest, easiest and most secure way to pay.

Please note that all payments must be in USA Dollars. All Credit card and Paypal payments must be shipped to billing address. All payments made with personal checks, items are held 10 business days for check to clear. Please e-mail us if you have any further items usually ship within 24 hours of payment being received. If you need item shipped Express mail and we will do everything in our power to get item shipped as fast as possible. That will include a special trip to post office, even after shipments have been made, if that can save a day. Please be sure to express if you need items by a certain date so we can be aware and also we can give you a estimate of arrival time.

Items in USA are shipped via USPS and are fully insured for replacement against loss and damage. in USA all boxes have a Delivery Confirmation number to confirm when package has arrived at your destination. This is not a tracking number however does sometimes work like one but not always, it depends on post office at that time.

International First Class orders, according to the USPS, can take anywhere from 3 days to 5 weeks to arrive. Usually 10 working days is a good rule of thumb. Global Priority Mail Boxes can take 3 days to 10 Days to arrive and Global Express can take 3 days to 5 days to arrive. However in USA the post office does not guarantee anything.

Please note that some DVDs that are out of stock might take 5 business days to reach us from manufacturer before they ship to International destinations, from us, so on those shipments the normal time would be 15 days instead of 10. If that is a problem please ask ahead of time whether they are in stock or not. USA customers buying DVDs is not a problem as the out of stock DVDs are drop shipped from manufacturer within 24 hours of payment received.

We use a professional shipper and you are being charged the actual shipping charges based on weight and location. We always will combine shipping when possible. For foreign customers we will address their specific needs also.

Once inspected, We will happily refund your purchase price minus any shipping charges incurred. Or you can exchange your item for another and receive a full credit towards the new item.
