WURLITZER MODEL 71 JUKEBOX & STAND
Offered for sale from my personal collection is my favorite jukebox. I am a collector and dealer of mechanical antiques such as music boxes, wind-up phonographs, and specialized clocks. This came to me in the course of my business but now it is time to move it on to somebody who can enjoy and appreciate it as much as we have. The original plastics are in great shape, with no defects. The metalwork is bright and shiny, with no pitting. The jukebox displays almost as a new machine would. Secondly, and probably most importantly, it plays perfectly. I was amazed, when I brought it home, at how well it sounds. What they say about digital sound not comparing to that produced by vacuum-tubes is true, there is a warmth and ambiance, as well as volume, that will fill your home with happy music.A few technical details: These were made c.1940, so it is about 75 years old. It plays 12, readily-available, 78 RPM records. Voltage is 110VAC. The record selector buttons all work perfectly and cancel out properly after the record is in play. The coin mechanism works, on nickels, dimes and quarters. Of course, there is a volume control, and a record reject button. The matching later-made Style 810 stand is exactly as original and in equally superb condition.I will supply a set of 12 excellent records with title strips to get you started. Additional records are easy to find on , so there should be no problem customizing this jukebox to your own taste and listening enjoyment.A great thing about this type of jukebox is it\'s portability. Unlike larger behemoths, it can be picked up off the stand, and relocated in your house without much effort. Try doing that with a Bubbler or Peacock Wurlitzer! I once had a Seeburg Symphonola and after lugging that monster around, I swore \"Never again!\".Here in Florida we have lots of thunderstorms and electric power supply spikes, so for safety\'s sake, I use an uninterrupted power supply/battery backup, with surge protection, to protect the electronics. I will be pleased to include this if the purchaser so desires. For foreign buyers, I also have a suitable power converter box that I can also supply if required. You will not be disappointed in this, it is a real prize and attention-grabber, guaranteed to put a smile on just about anyone\'s face who sees and hears it in action.
