Genuine, authentic, original hand signedphotograph of Luftwaffe Major Helmut Stoerchel.

Stoerchel was ahighly decorated German Air Force bomber and bomber squadroncommander during WW2.

DuringWW2, Stoerchel was best known as the squadron group commander of Kampfgeschwader 30, particularly during the Battle of the Mediterranean and the Italian Campaign.

Because of his military successes, he was awarded the German Cross in Gold. He also was awarded the Luftwaffe Front Flying Clasp in Gold and the Ehrepokal for his military successes.

Because of his extreme personal bravery and successful military leadership in combat, Stoerchel was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on November 22 1943!

The 3.5 x 5 inch glossy black and white photograph shows Stoerchel in his Luftwaffe Majors uniform wearing his Knights Cross, German Cross in Gold and other awards, and he has signed his full name in the lower blank portion in blue ballpoint ink pen, and also on the reverse side has hand written his last commander of Kampfgeschwader 30 in blue ballpoint ink pen, postwar. The signed foto is in very good plus condition.
