WWII Women\'s Army Corps (WAC) Enlistment Application
This is an authentic U.S. Women\'s Army Corps enlistment blank from the United States home front printed circa 1943 during WWII. The front has a beautiful black and white image of 2 female WAC members standing in uniform and smiling. Below the image it says, \"Here is your Application for enlistment in the WAC... fill it out today!\" in black print. Above the image at the top of the page is a quote from President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The first inside page has a 3 paragraph message to potential enlistees from the Colonel/Director of the WAC. The 2nd inside page, and the back page, are the blank \"Application For Enlistment - Women\'s Army Corps\". The enlistment blank consists of 14 separate categories of questions, followed by an area to sign and date your application. The very bottom of the application is an area to be filled in by the Recruiting Officer. In small print at the bottom of the back page, it appears to date the application 10-1-43.
The enlistment document measures approximately 10.5\" x 8\" and is still in very nice condition. There are no major rips, tears or writing on the document. There are some minor signs of wear all some spots on the edges, however they are mostly very small and do not detract from the beautiful image on the front. I have done my best to fully photograph the details of this document, however feel free to request more photographs or information if needed. This piece would make a great addition to any WWII, WAC, or Women in the Service collection!!!
