This is anEXTRALARGE size Antique, heavy duty Padlock, dating to around 1880s or so. Thispattern is known as early as 1836. This lock weighs 1 lb. 5 oz., and the original key weighs 1.2 oz.. The hasp is 5/8\" in diameter. Good remnants of an old red paint remain. The lock works properly. This would be a a good door stop, paper weight, conversation piece, and could still be used today. This is the largest size of this lock I have seen.
